Industrial Sieves and Downtime

The image of the old prospector in the time of the Wild West sieving away worthless gravel and rocks in his search for gold is all too familiar. Since then we have come a long way. Today the sieving process is one of the most commonly used methods in the industry to separate solid particles of different sizes or to drain the liquid from a liquid-solid mixture.

Sieving is a relatively simple process, where sieves (often vibrating) are used to accomplish a variety of goals, like separating wanted elements from unwanted material, achieving a specific particle size distribution, and many others. But all the relative motion inherent in the sieving process, with particles grinding against one another and the sieve openings, cause excessive abrasion wear and leads to the need of rapid sieve replacement.

Cerametal can help prolong the lifetime of the sieves used in many industrial applications, by fabricating them using our high quality, carbide overlay Wear plates.

Cerametal manufactures sieves with openings of various shapes and sizes depending on the type of particles and materials to be processed. In addition, we fabricate sieves as standalone parts or including the entire required substructure to facilitate the placement of the sieve in any preexisting installation.

Cerametal`s sieves are used in many different industries like cement, mineral processing, construction, and others.
